Chicago, Chicago

Wednesday night and we were at The Chicago Rock Cafe in Maidstone. A bit of a trek for a Christchurch band, to be honest, but the venue looked great and we'd been invited to play. Good enough reason to go. I have to say the venue looked after us really well.Food, drink, and a changing room with an iron. It doesn't get much better than that! The stage looked amazing set high into the wall above the bar. However, this meant the audience was miles away which for a band like us who likes to get in amongst the audience, sort of up close and personal, well, it probably wasn't the ideal venue for us. But as always, we had a good time and the small audience who was there seemed to enjoy it. And must put a word in for the sound engineer, Andy, who really made sure we had a good sound. Big thanks to him. We managed to get a couple of pics of the evening too - here they are:

Our next gig is at the tiny but gorgeous Tudor Rose in Romsey on 10th November. This is from one extreme to the other - this pub is so small, you can't tell where the band ends and the audience begins! Hope we'll see you there or at one of our other gigs. Check www.stateofundress.com or www.myspace.com/stateofundress

Cheers!
